Contrary to popular belief, dogs are omnivores and not carnivores. They need the right mix of meat and vegetables. There are many dog foods that provide the necessary amino acids that equal meat protein. Amino acids are the building blocks of life whether its animal, veggie or grain protein as long as the diet is complete.

A balanced vegan diet also avoids diseases and disorders and makes your dog healthy, active and energetic. Any shift in dog’s diet must be done gradually. Sudden changes can create stomach problems. Also avoid feeding spicy and oily junk foods. These spoil their metabolism and make them lose their appetite.
